About Genealia.ch
The creation of Genealia.ch stems from a passion for genealogy I've had for over 25 years. As an independent and self-taught genealogist, I have conducted research primarily in Switzerland and Italy, but also in French, German, and American registers. I am interested in past professions, the historical, geographical, and social context of individuals, migrations, and religions. In addition to French, I speak Italian, German, and English. Beyond information related to individuals' civil status, I am committed to tracing their personal history: where they lived, occupation, family situation, loss of one or more children, circumstances of death when the information reveals it, etc.
Genealia.ch aims to make genealogy accessible to all, to give it new visibility, to promote it in a spirit of collective memory work, and to diligently use digital tools to complement traditional research methods.
